Dispatches from the Sanctity of Home

After what was quite possibly the most hectic work week I've had in recent memory, I've been luxuriating in the ordinariness of home. There truly is something to that lovely throwaway line in The Napoleon of Notting Hill: When the chord of monotony is stretched most tight, then it breaks with a sound like song. The ordinary, the humdrum, the occasionally redundant...ah, sweet domestic bliss! I could change diapers all day, and you'll still find me sporting the goofiest, tired grin this side of the equator.

I'm just catching up on my family, and my reading, in that order. Should anything awe-inspiring strike me within the quiet of this holiday season, I'll do my best to post it. But till then, I wish you the best of times this holiday season. Peace to one and all!

I have a new blog for 2009. :) I still have my regular blog (themagickbox.wordpress.com) but I will also have a "fictional" blog where I will write as a passenger of a cruise ship sailing from Lemuria. :D This is the new blog: http://travelswithrilla.wordpress.com/
